Education

Main curriculum
At Stella School, we offer a high-quality international education that blends the strengths of the English National Curriculum, the Vietnamese National Curriculum and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) within a rich bilingual learning environment. Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide a well-rounded, inquiry-based education that ensures strong academic foundations in both English and Vietnamese, while integrating international standards to support both academic excellence and personal growth.
Through engaging, child-centred learning experiences, we nurture intellectual curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills. More than just academic success, we are deeply committed to shaping globally minded, confident, and compassionate individuals. Our students are empowered to become independent learners, respectful communicators, and responsible citizens, prepared to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

English as a Second language (ESL)
At Stella School, we understand that English proficiency is essential for academic success and global opportunities. Our English as a Second Language programme is designed specifically for students from non-English speaking families, providing them with the skills and confidence to thrive in an English-speaking learning environment based on the British curriculum. Our goal is to ensure that every student, regardless of their English background, feels confident, engaged, and prepared for academic success. Through interactive lessons, engaging activities, and real-world applications, we help students develop the language skills they need to excel in school and beyond.

Vietnamese as a Foreign Language (VFL)
At Stella School, we offer a Vietnamese as a Foreign Language programme designed to help students from non-Vietnamese-speaking backgrounds build essential language skills. Through dynamic lessons and immersive activities, we ensure every student gains the proficiency needed to succeed in a Vietnamese-speaking environment. Our Vietnamese as a Foreign Language programme equips international students with essential language skills and cultural insights for effective communication and integration into the local community.

Extracurricular activities
Extracurricular Activities Our Extracurricular Activities (ECAs) allow students to explore new passions, develop essential life skills, and engage in hands-on, experiential learning beyond the classroom. Through a diverse range of clubs and activities, students can discover their interests, build confidence, and cultivate a lifelong love for learning. With a combination of teacher-led ECAs and specialised workshops from guest instructors, our after-school programs ensure that every child receives a well-rounded experience that nurtures both intellect and character. Whether in sports, arts, STEM, or leadership initiatives, our ECAs empower students to grow, collaborate, and thrive. Field Trips – “Discovery Trips” At Stella School, learning goes beyond the classroom. We offer a variety of Discovery Trips – field trips, incursions, and excursions, planned throughout the year to bring classroom lessons to life. These trips broaden academic understanding while fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability. They give students real-world insights and inspire lifelong curiosity.

Approach to teaching and learning
Project-based and Problem-based Learning At our core, we believe that learning should be active, meaningful and driven by curiosity. Young learners thrive when they can explore topics that spark their interest, engage in hands-on experiences, and connect learning to the real world. That’s why we take learning a step further with Project-Based and Problem-Based Learning – a powerful blend that nurtures creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Technology Integration At Stella School, we believe in preparing our students for the digital age with intention and care. Starting from the Preparatory level (Preschool), we slowly introduce age-appropriate technology to build confidence and digital literacy. Our goal is not just to use technology, but to help children use it wisely – as a tool for creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in a connected world. Flipped learning At Stella School, we embrace Flipped Learning to make classroom time more meaningful. Students are introduced to new concepts at home through interactive materials, allowing them to learn at their own pace. In class, they dive deeper through discussions, group work, and hands-on activities — turning passive learning into active discovery. This approach builds confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
